Gain Hands on Experience through
our Veterinary Externship Program
We’re dedicated to training the future of veterinary medicine. Our externship program will contribute to your practice-readiness and help you hit the ground running after graduation. The goal of our program is to give you experience:
- Gathering histories and performing physical examinations
- Developing diagnostic & therapeutic plans
- Scrubbing in to surgery
- Assisting in the management of medical cases
- Providing wellness care
Our externship programs are flexible and designed to allow students, under veterinary supervision, to practice the problem-solving, technical and communication skills that they have acquired during their clinical preparation. All externs will be paid a weekly stipend.

Our hospital is in partnership with Veterinary Practice Partners (VPP). VPP offers a unique co-ownership model that means we are in charge of all clinical decisions for our hospital, while they provide support and leadership for marketing, financial, operations and human resources. This means:
